Andrea Northwood (she/her), PhD, LP
Certified AEDP Therapist

As a licensed psychologist in practice for over 25 years, I provide collaborative relational psychotherapy for individuals who want to enliven and transform their relationships, with self and others. In psychotherapy two things can change: the problem and our relationship to the problem. Together we'll define the stressors and formulate a treatment plan, designed specifically with and for you. We utilize your strengths, coping skills, and life experience to reduce and manage anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and self-esteem issues. Effective treatment can have a profound impact on mood, behavior and quality of life at all levels.

How I Work

My approach is grounded in a deep conviction that each of us is innately wired and resourced to thrive, not just survive. I work with you to create a positive, new relational experience through which other stresses, traumas, life transitions, or difficulties can be safely and supportively re-examined, processed, and healed. I consider issues of power, privilege, culture, and marginalization as we work. I am an LGBTQI+ identified therapist who works with folks anywhere on the gender and sexuality spectra. I also have a deep understanding of the particular stresses and needs of therapists, clergy, their partners, and other caregivers in therapy. I look forward to meeting with you!
