Struggle is an essential part of life, but getting stuck doesn’t have to be.
My goal as a therapist is to help you live a full, rich, and meaningful life according to your own values. I’ll seek to understand what’s most important to you, help you let go of struggles that aren’t serving you, and devote your energy instead to living your best life. My therapy practice is grounded in warmth, emotional courage, and human dignity. I’ll work with you to develop a safe, trusting relationship, and to help you find and elevate the sparks of passion and interest in your life.
Science shows we have profound psychological flexibility, and my approach uses this capacity to help you respond creatively and compassionately to all kinds of life experiences. I’ll help you balance mindful awareness, compassionate self-acceptance, and behavior changes that empower you to thrive.
Above all, I believe therapy is a place for liberation, maximizing choice, openness, and meaning, and undoing oppression, rigidity, and degradation. Therapy must address the intersecting social, cultural, and economic forces that shape our lives. Maintaining an anti-racist, feminist, LGBTQ-affirming, and culturally aware practice is essential to my work.
I work with a wide range of folks and have particular expertise and interest in working with:
Neurodiverse adults
People from across the gender and sexuality spectra
People who struggle with self-harm and/or suicidal thinking
People working on their relationships with substance use and/or compulsive
