Cultivate kindness & compassion for yourself and others!
I believe that we have no bad parts, and that we are doing the best we can in each state and stage of life. However, sometimes there are seasons when we need extra support. Have you been feeling overwhelmed thinking about all the expectations, demands, and roles you have in your life? When we work together, you’ll have a chance to explore the richness of your own internal and external experiences. From family, friends, and work to community and spiritual beliefs - we will explore all of these intersections. You may be figuring out how to navigate the expectations of each area or struggling to make sense of how you fit in the world. Together we will journey to unpack the hidden values, beliefs, motivations, and narratives that have been said, taught, and learned. Through the process, you will come to understand yourself and how you move in the world.
How I Work
I enjoy working with people on healing the effects of traumatic experiences, including racialized, intergeneration, refugee/immigration, and spiritual trauma. My specialties include working with people who identify as 1.5 and 2nd generation Asian American immigrants and refugees who are navigating eastern and western cultural upbringing and beliefs. Using compassion and curiosity to engage in the authentic self, we will work towards bringing healing, change, and agency in your life. We will explore the links between your stories and experiences, as well as your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We will develop your awareness of your authentic, true self, and your ability to express your values, beliefs, skills, and passions. As your life becomes richer and connections become deeper, you will find you can bring all of who you are as you navigate relationships, the world, and yourself.
